I spy quilt

I decided I wanted to make our new baby an I Spy Quilt. Here is a picture of one I found online.

I have some cute fabrics that I want to use on it, but not nearly enough. I think it would be cool to have my friends and family look through their scraps and see if they have any cute prints they would like to share with me. I am interested in animals, cars, holiday prints, toys, etc. I am NOT interested (at all) in character prints like Disney or Sesame street etc. What I would need is 2 squares (why not play a bit of a memory game too?) probably 4.5 inches square each. Any type of fabric is good, like flannel or cotton or whatever.

If you are interested in helping me and want more information or my address to send fabric to me, let me know in my comments. Be sure to include your email address but put a space or two in it so you don't get any spam. or you can email me at jessf20 @ msn.com (just no spaces).

Thanks in advance for your help!

a letter.

Dear Neighbor

I know that your lawn is long. It has been raining a lot lately. People in our neighborhood have been busy the last 2 days mowing. Please note how I said DAYS.

It is 10:00 pm. It's dark. You are mowing your lawn right now. There are no lights on in your yard. I am interested in how it is turning out. Good luck.

I will be taking a walk around the block tomorrow to see how it looks. I'm not sure which house you live in, but I think I'll be able to tell.

Sincerely,
Me

would you?

Would you ever buy a used carseat/stroller travel system? I've found several on KSL classifieds for pretty good prices. I just know that this is our last child and so I don't want to spend a ton of money on something that we will only use for one child. I read the reviews and know not to buy anything that is older than 5 years or has been in an accident. what is your opinion?

it's just a number. it's just a number

Today I went to the doctor for my 26 week visit. Everything looks great, I'm so lucky to have easy pregnancies. But when I stood on the scale, I wasn't all that thrilled. It was the biggest number I have ever seen on my scale. yikes, I still have 14 weeks!

I found a book the other day where I kept track of stats when I was pregnant with Anna. My weight just days before I delivered her was less than what I started weighing with this pregnancy!

My doctor reminded me that I'm older this time, but that what I've gained is a healthy gain for pregnancy. He reminded me to not give in to every craving and to eat good healthy food.

I know I'm fine, and I'll bring that number down, but it was a pretty startling revelation! Maybe from now on, I'll just stand backwards on the scale!

24 weeks

24 weeks! wow the time is flying by! I'm feeling pretty good most of the time, but I have been taking more naps lately. The baby is moving around a ton and I love, love, LOVE that feeling. I'm getting really excited to see this little guy. Whenever I see a new baby I realize that soon I'll be holding my own. I love to hold up the little itty bitty jammies and imagine a baby in them. We bought the crib last week. Just one thing to cross off the list of needed baby items.
