We spent our Easter weekend with my side of the family in Richfield. We headed down early Saturday morning, listening to conference on the way there. I love it when Easter falls on conference weekend. When we got to Grandma's, she already had the eggs ready to color. So we colored the eggs and then got ready to go to the park for our picnic. The weather has been very unpredictable lately, lots of cold and snow and yuck so we knew we wouldn't be able to go in the hills this year.
Grandpa cooked his yummy dutch oven chicken and we ate and ate and ate. So good! Then we had the Easter egg hunt and that sure was fun! Grandma even remembered the baby! The kids always have so much fun with their cousins and it's fun for me to see my brothers and my sister and their families. Michael even brought a new girlfriend, so I got to meet her.
We stayed in a hotel room with 3 queen beds. It was nice to have the extra rooms. We took the kids swimming and then Chris and Tristan went to the priesthood session of conference while I took Connor and Anna back to Grandma and Grandpa's.
On Sunday, after we woke up and had breakfast, we went back to Grandma's. The Easter bunny found us there. Good thing he hid the eggs up high or else Grandma's little doggy, Zoe would have eaten them! We watched morning conference and found a hill to roll the eggs down. While we were rolling eggs, the kids got to ride 4 wheelers and the boys even drove! They had a lot of fun!
After we got home and had a quick potty break, we went up to our other Grandparent's house for dinner. Connor and Anna played and played with their cousins and got rid of all the energy that was stored up from the car ride. They didn't seem to mind the cold, but they sure had some pink faces! Thank goodness for cousins!
It was a great holiday for us! Happy Easter!
