He's always been a pleasant child. The middle child. The second son. The child who will do almost anything you ask him to do. With pleasure. He's a happy, silly, friendly, obedient, shy, smart, funny child. I love you! Happy 10th Birthday Connor Jack. I'm so glad you picked our family.

It started on Wednesday! I wish I would have gone sooner because most of the boys stuff was gone by today. Oh well, we've got some good stuff and most of it is for summer and next winter. I love a good bargain.

36 years ago, this wonderful man was born. I'm so glad he was! He's my very best friend and I'm so glad we get to be together. Love you Chris!

My day

Wow! what a busy day....

got up and took Chris to work at 6:30
came home and got the kids up
got breakfast and lunch for the kids
started the roast
started the laundry
took the kids to school
helped Tristan makes amends with the principal and his teacher
went to Kohl's to get gift for VT sister
went visiting teaching to 3 houses, had nice visits
went home and switched laundry
went to lunch with Chris (the greek salad at Paradise Bakery is soooo good!)
mixed up dough for doughnuts
went to the grocery store
picked up prescription
called and asked a neighbor to pick up the kids (saved my day)
put groceries away
rolled out doughnuts
took the kids shopping for Chris's bday gift
talked to the missionaries about dinner. we couldn't have them over since Chris had to work late so we made arrangements for me to bring them dinner.
figured out how to get two dinners made (served the same meal, just 2 times)
finished and delivered their dinner
finished and ate our dinner (it was pretty good by the way)
watched Chris open his birthday gifts
fried the doughnuts while Connor helped by glazing them
ate some doughnuts. they are ok, but not really worth all the work in my opinion. I wish I would have just drove up to Layton and bought some at Krispy Kreme. mmmmm krispy kreme
washed a bunch of dishes ( oh how I wish we had a dishwasher)
helped Anna with her bath
folded laundry
said prayers and put Anna to bed
cuddled with Anna
folded more laundry
dealt with the stupid washer that gets unbalanced ALL. THE. TIME.

there you have it. my busy day

Things I Like Saturday

I mixed up a batch of cookie dough and Anna wanted to help scoop it out! together we made a whole bunch of chocolate chip with caramel bits cookies! Yummy! I love having a helper in the kitchen.

It's all a sham

Anna got new bedding from Santa this year. Unfortunately, it didn't come with a pillow sham.

Shelia to the rescue! I had some pictures that Anna drew and I stitched this summer just waiting for a project. I also had some fabric that was similar to the fabric on Anna's new bedspread, so I put all together and.....VOILA! A beautiful, one of a kind pillow sham!
